Women will be left “outnumbered six to one” if Labour floods a tiny Yorkshire village with more than a thousand “asylum seekers”.
The Government is planning to move around 3,750 asylum seekers into three disused military sites, all on the doorstep of tiny villages.
Andy Burnham told GB News on Tuesday that more affluent areas would be made to “play their part” and take in asylum seekers.
Home Office Minister Anna Turley then fell in line, admitting that housing migrants in poorer areas of the country had led to “civil unrest”.
But a Labour MP has now warned of how plans to move 1,200 men into RAF Linton-on-Ouse in North Yorkshire as “unsuitable”.
York Central MP Rachael Maskell has written to Ms Turley and will meet Home Office officials this month to make her case.
She told The Times politicians from all parties were “absolutely clear that this is not the right site”, warning of the “huge demand” asylum seekers would place on water, sewage capacity and electricity.
Similar plans were shot down in 2022 after fierce local opposition, but the proposals are now under active consideration.
“It’s just the wrong site,” she said. “The last Government realised that once they got into the detail.
“All we’re saying to this Government is that it’s really important that they recognise that too, because the site is in a worse state now than it was when the Government last looked at this.”
Those words have been echoed by local campaigners.
Professor Olga Matthias of the Linton Action Group told GB News that the village was “categorically the wrong place for so many reasons”.

Staggeringly, one local estate agent claimed locals were “joyful” and were “skipping around the village basking in the knowledge at helping their suffering fellow man”.
Churchill Estate Agents claimed to GB News that residents’ fears were “figments of your imagination”.
But local Tory councillor Malcolm Taylor said many families had moved to the village after the original plans were abandoned, thinking the same problems would not resurface.
“They’ve moved there for the peace, tranquillity and quality of life,” he said. “This hand grenade has been thrown in.”
After Andy Burnham threatened that more areas of the country would have to “play their part”, his ministers are now poised to raise a rent cap on asylum accommodation in order to introduce illegal migrants to wealthier parts of Britain.
