It has been suggested that data means Meghan Markle has a “trump card” over the King. This is because the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle brand As Ever had more online visitors to its website than that the webpage for King Charles’s Highgrove shop last month. In July, Meghan’s company recorded its lowest monthly web traffic of 2026, with 126,655 visits, data from Similarweb suggested, according to Newsweek. Its six-month average was 176,677 visits.

Meanwhile, the monarch’s Highgrove store website got around 48,326 visits in the same month. Its six-month average is 56,574. This works out at the King’s site getting nearly 40% of the views Meghan’s got.

Let’s consider the effort Meghan has put into promoting her brand.

She visited Australia with Prince Harry earlier this year, and it has been speculated that the country is considered as a potentially bountiful market for As Ever.

It is believed to have registered trademarks in 12 different product categories in Australia in 2025.

Meghan’s Netflix show has also been used to mention her products.

The duchess has also gifted some to celebrities like Kris Jenner, Mindy Kaling, Chrissy Teigen and Tracy Robbins in an apparent effort to make some of her offerings go viral.

You’d expect a heck of a lot more visitors to her website as a result.

The King, meanwhile, has done none of this for his shop.

Can you imagine him preparing food on a Netflix show. That might actually be worth a watch were it to ever happen.

He did a great job presenting the weather on the BBC and can of course speak well to an audience.

No, Charles has been getting on with the day job as the UK’s head of state and head of the Commonwealth.

And yet his Highgrove shop is not doing too badly at all when compared to his daughter-in-law’s numbers.

These latest figures are not a “trump card” for Meghan, they are quite embarassing.
