GB News anchors Mark White and Anne Diamond were left speechless as a British Army spokerperson warned that the UK is at great risk if Iran were to attack. In a chilling World War 3 warning, it has been revealed that Iranian missiles technically have the capacity to reach London, after Iran targeted a US-UK military base 2,000 miles away.
White kicked off the debate by asking Major Mike Shearer, who appeared as a guest on the show: “These missiles being able to reach London, it’s not actually new, is it? We’ve always kind of known this.” Shearer worryingly replied: “We’ve always suspected they’re there, but they can go as far as 2,400 miles.
“Now if anybody wanted any convincing that the Iranians were looking forward to nuclear warheads, this is it. These intercontinental ballistic missiles will carry nuclear warheads. Of course, we have precious little that can stop it.
“All we can call upon now is the Royal Air Force, because we’ve no Iron Dome. Not surprising because we’ve got 2.3% of GDP – a huge chunk which is spent on MI5, MI6, GCHQ and topping up veterans’ pensions.”

He went on: “The general public are unaware. They just see the big sum and think, ‘We’re spending a lot on conventional warfare’. About 1.3% is on the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. We really need to invest, we need to strip it out from the welfare state.
“I read about two days ago that 100 new individuals every day are getting benefits for anxiety. We need to wake up and get our priorities right. The closest crocodile to the boat right now are our defences.”
It comes as Piers Morgan also shared the worrying news, tweeting: “So not only has Iran brazenly lied about its ballistic missile range capacity, but this means it can probably hit the UK with them – and we have zero, I repeat ZERO, defence against these missiles. Very worrying.”
