Nigel Farage will stop issuing visas to foreign nationals whose Governments are demanding trillions in slavery reparations.
Reform UK said they will not “allow Britain to be slapped around and ridiculed on the world stage” as a host of Caribbean and African countries claim they should be compensated.
Mr Farage’s party said Jamaica, Barbados, Nigeria and Kenya are amongst those formally demanding extraordinary sums of money.
The United Nations last month voted to insist that Britain and other former colonial powers should pay reparations for slavery, with a UN judge claiming the amount owed could be in the region of £18trillion.
The resolution, tabled at the UN General Assembly by Ghana, said countries such as Britain should now begin “good-faith dialogue on reparatory justice, including a full and formal apology, measures of restitution, compensation”.
But Reform’s home affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf said: “A growing number of countries are demanding reparations from Britain.
“These countries ignore the fact that Britain made huge sacrifices to be the first major power to outlaw slavery and enforce this prohibition.
“Astonishingly, of the countries demanding reparations, Tory and Labour governments issued 3.8 million visas to their nationals and sent them a staggering £6.6 billion in foreign aid over the last 2 decades.
“Enough is enough.”
By backing the resolution, the UN members affirmed “the importance of addressing historical wrongs affecting Africans and people of African descent”, and accepted that “claims for reparations represent a concrete step towards remedying historical wrongs”.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres even said that the wealth of many Western nations was “built on stolen lives and stolen labour”.
A UN judge sensationally claimed the UK is likely to owe more than £18tn in reparations for its historical role in slavery.
British authorities were participants in the trade, which saw millions of Africans enslaved and forced to work, especially on plantations in the Caribbean, between the 16th and 19th centuries.
But Britain played a key role in ending the slave trade through Parliament’s passage of a law to abolish slavery in 1833.
Reform UK has vowed to fight the campaign, insisting “we will not allow British taxpayers to be insulted and their money wasted”.
Party officials added: “We are putting these countries on notice.
“From this point, should any country formally demand reparations from Britain, a Reform government will respond by immediately halting the issuance of new visas to their nationals. We have already committed to scrapping foreign aid.
“A United Kingdom with Nigel Farage as Prime Minister will have a backbone, and stand up for our national interest.”
Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch slammed Labour for remaining silent during the controversial UN vote.
She raged: “Russia, China and Iran vote with others to demand trillions in reparations from UK taxpayers…and the Labour government abstain.
“Britain led the fight to end slavery.
“Why didn’t Starmer’s representative vote against this?
“Ignorance…or cowardice? We shouldn’t be paying for a crime we helped eradicate and still fight today.”
The Foreign Office said the UK will not pay repatriations.
A spokesperson said: “The transatlantic slave trade was abhorrent. We recognise its horrific impacts and the ongoing strength of feeling it arouses.
“We are committed to deepening respectful, long-term partnerships with African countries, rooted in mutual respect, that deliver real change for people’s lives.
“The UK’s position on reparations is clear – we will not pay them.”
