A 44-year-old man has been jailed after asking a schoolgirl to engage in sex acts, leaving her scared to go out alone. Abdirahman Osman left the court stunned after he screamed “f*** your country” at the judge during sentencing, exclaiming he wanted to return to Kenya, where he was born.
The court heard that Osman approached a group of schoolgirls in a park in Cardiff, Wales, on July 13 last year. He told them he wanted to be their boyfriend, called them “sweeties”, asked the girls their age and tried to hug one them, the jury heard. The girls told the 44-year-old to leave them alone, but he ignored them and asked one of them to go to his home, saying he needed help.

Cardiff Crown Court heard that one girl crossed the road from where she had been sitting, and Osman asked for her help.
But when she got closer, the defendant asked her to perform oral sex on him which left her feeling “shocked and scared”, the court heard. The girl quickly returned to her friends, who immediately alerted the police.
The defendant was later arrested and told an officer: “I didn’t touch anyone, they were talking to me and I asked one of them for a b*****b and that was it,” reports Wales Online.
He was later convicted of attempting to engage/incite a child to engage in sexual activity.
In a victim personal statement, the girl said: “Since this incident I feel wary of people and scared of people who look like him. I don’t like going out on my own anymore.
“My social interactions have changed, I don’t like going out on my own and don’t feel safe. I don’t go to the Roath Park area as I find it distressing.
“I now stay local to home as I feel safer this way. My mum has been concerned and worried for me and she’s supported me. Following the incident I am shocked and distressed a man can say things like this and leave me feeling worried and upset.”
Osman has been jailed for two years and subjected to a sex offender notification requirement for 10 years. The court heard he has previous convictions for offences including battery and robbery.
Appearing via video link from prison for sentencing, Osman told judge Lucy Crowther: “I want to go back to my own country.” He then exlaimed: “F*** your country.”
He left the video room and returned to his cell.
