Best 12 pictures of the Royal Family on Easter Sunday at Windsor

The Royal Family spent Easter Sunday at Windsor Castle, attending a church service.

Young royals stole the show at today’s Easter service at Windsor, with a grinning Princess Charlotte waving to fans and young Prince Louis being affectionately greeted by the King. Prince George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, were at the heart of the annual Easter Sunday gathering, leading the royals on the short walk from Windsor Castle to St George’s Chapel alongside their proud parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales.

It marked the first time the family of five had attended the annual church service in three years following Catherine’s cancer diagnosis at the start of 2024. George appears to have shot right up since his last public appearance on Christmas Day, towering over his younger siblings and coming up to his father’s shoulder.

While Charlotte appeared to ooze confidence as she walked beside her mother, waving sweetly to well-wishers who had gathered in Windsor to wish the Royal Family a Happy Easter.

There was no Easter message from the King this year, but Buckingham Palace posted a Christian message on social media that read: “He is risen! Wishing a  joyous Easter Sunday to Christians celebrating in the UK, the Commonwealth and around the world today.” Easter messages are not customary; the late Queen Elizabeth issued only one during her 70-year reign, during the first covid lockdown.
