GB News has revealed that a dinghy full of migrants arrived on a beach in Kent after going completely undetected by UK authorities. Pausing for an update on Monday, journalist Mark White said, “Our audience will know our producer down in Kent, producer Chris, as we refer to him. He’s always there [in Kent] as he is today, looking out for more illegal incursions across our southern border.
“Well, today he got a call from one of the skippers on a working boat out in the Channel because they thought they’d seen a migrant dinghy.”
Panning to a video of the small boat that appeared to have “up to 10 on board,” Mark explained that Chris quickly called the coastguard after capturing the footage.
He added that the dinghy had landed at a rocky beach called The Warren, where police and Immigration Enforcement later arrived.
The GB News report comes days after Andy Burnham was quizzed about Piddlington’s vote to withdraw from the UK, following Labour’s plans to house more than 1,000 asylum seekers at a military site nearby.
“I understand the strength of feeling, and that’s something that is across the country, but the only thing to do is to get the number of crossings down,” the prime minister said.
“And they are significantly down; they are now at a seven-year low. But we also made a commitment to people to end the use of hotels to house refugees and asylum seekers. And that commitment needs to be honoured, and I think the vast majority of people are saying, ‘Yep, that really does need to proceed’. This involves difficult decisions.”
Burnham concluded: “It’s about fairness across the country, not saying only one part of the country or one group of communities should do all of the work.

“It’s difficult, and obviously, I will look at the issues being raised by the community and in the referendum, but we have to ensure that we have a fair plan as well as getting the numbers down, and the numbers are coming down significantly.”
Despite Burnham’s assurances, GB News viewers remain sceptical of the Government’s plans. Responding to the breaking report on X, one wrote, “@ShabanaMahmood @andyburnham @UKLabour This is absolutely concerning! You must take steps to secure borders & monitor the channel!”
Meanwhile, a second tweeted: “So much for tracking systems and the Border Force… or Border Farce.” Echoing this sentiment, a third declared: “This isn’t a managed border, it is managed chaos – it is an open door that poses a massive, unacceptable risk to national security. Will they ever get a grip?”
