Meghan Markle is ‘nervous’ about doing the school run while the family’s security remains a major concern, a friend close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has claimed. The couple arrived back in the UK with their two children on Wednesday, with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet set to start at their new school next week. The family is understood to be relocating to the UK for an “extended period” of time and it is heavily rumoured that they are living in a non-royal residence in the Cotswolds.
The couple announced their shock plans to move to the UK earlier this month. They are said to have informed King Charles of their planned UK return on August 16. It has been claimed that the couple have barely left the house since coming back to the UK last week and Meghan is said to be worried about driving Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, to and from their prep school.

As reported by The Sun, a pal said having a regular drop-off and pick-up time increases the security risk.
They added: “The school run is a tricky issue and I understand they are nervous about it.”
Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 and then established their main home in Montecito, California. Lilibet was born there in 2021. At the time, the couple pointed to relentless media attention as one of the reasons for seeking a new life away from the UK.
Prince Harry gave the Home Office security committee less than two weeks’ notice of his plans to move his family back to the UK. Harry’s representatives are understood not to have given RAVEC the usual 28 days’ advance notice of the family’s wider plans to relocate to Britain.
RAVEC was informed of the family’s full relocation plans as soon as was considered “practicably possible”, following concerns over potential leaks, the late confirmation of the children’s school places and Harry’s wish to tell his father first, The Telegraph reported.
RAVEC withdrew Prince Harry’s full taxpayer-funded protective security in 2020 after he and Meghan stepped back from their roles as working members of the Royal Family and moved to the United States.
The family’s security in the UK is under a new review by the Home Office following their return to Britain, reports have claimed. Last year, he lost a legal battle against the Government over the security arrangements for him and his family while in the UK.
Harry had been seeking to overturn the decision that had downgraded his security after he ceased being a working royal and moved abroad about six years ago.
