Mr Bardella, President of the National Rally party, said he would allow Britain to intercept boats launched from French shores and return them to France.
He spoke at the Reform UK Party conference, where he endorsed Mr Farage and his party, saying it was “an honour and a great pleasure” to be invited.
Mr Farage said: “You may have been wondering what this is all about.
“Let me tell you, we are about to sign a memorandum of understanding between our two parties, and we hope and believe our next two governments will reaffirm our commitment to stopping illegal immigration, where France says they’ll do their utmost to stop all departures.
“And maybe this time, with him as prime minister, they will actually mean it.
“But here is the most significant part. ‘The United Kingdom will intercept boats which launched from French shores and entered British territorial waters and will return the persons on board to France.’”
Mr Farage added: “We are about to sign a historic document that will stop the boats forever.”

Pollster under scrutiny amid Channel 4 Reform sting admits ‘lapse of judgement’
Pollster JL Partners has admitted to a “lapse of judgment” for not “proactively” telling media outlets who was behind polling reportedly commissioned by Reform UK and paid for by a company set up by undercover journalists.
In a lengthy statement following the report, JL Partners said IL Office LLC paid for three pieces of opinion research between January and July this year after the company – which it understood to be the family office of a UK-based philanthropist – was introduced to the pollster by Reform figures.
“As an opinion research firm that conducts extensive polling on current affairs, we maintain good relations with various political parties, both in Britain and abroad and, in that context, sometimes people with a party alignment make suggestions about potential clients who may be interested in commissioning and paying for polling,” the statement continued.
“Some polls are commissioned in-house while others are commissioned by clients. Our usual practice is to inform a media partner when a poll has been commissioned by a particular client.
“In the case of the polls that IL Office LLC had paid for, we did not offer that information proactively.
“While there is no legal requirement to do so, it was a lapse of judgment that was not consistent with the approved procedures of JL Partners or with rule 2.1 of guidelines of the British Polling Council, of which JL Partners is a member.”
JL Partners said it contacted the BPC itself after concluding it had breached its rules, and is reviewing its own procedures.
Kemi Badenoch expresses ‘shock’ over undercover Reform sting and denies Conservatives taking foreign donations
Kemi Badenoch has called for the the police and Electoral Commission to investigate allegations of electoral law breaches by Reform UK.
“I thought those revelations were extraordinary,” the Tory leader told reporters during a visit to West Sussex, saying she had watched the undercover footage by Verbatim and aired by Channel 4 twice.
“Reform clearly believe that the rules don’t apply to them. There’s absolutely no way that I would have that sort of behaviour in the Conservative Party.
“I understand that they have been referred to the police. It’s definitely time for a police investigation. This is just yet another thing on top of Nigel Farage’s fishy £5 million which he can’t really explain, the investigation into George Cottrell.”
Mrs Badenoch said the Electoral Commission should also investigate
Asked whether the claims surrounding Reform could benefit the Tories, Mrs Badenoch said: “Nigel Farage has done my spring cleaning. A lot of the people who were causing problems in our party… they’ve gone to Reform. We have cleaned up our act.”
The Tory leader also claimed she has herself turned down donations to the Conservative Party coming from abroad.
“I want people to know the Conservative Party has much higher standards. “I’ve said no to quite a lot of money because it was coming from abroad, it wasn’t legal. I’m not filling my party’s coffers with illicit foreign donations.
“The people who are funding the Conservative Party are British people live here, who work here, who want to make sure that we are a successful country.”
