Prince Harry is up against a major issue in his mission to reconcile with his family. The 41-year-old Duke of Sussex has experienced a rift between him and his family, particularly with his brother, Prince William. After years of distance, it is reported that Prince Harry wants to return to the UK more regularly, following his visit last month, which included a reunion with him, his wife, Meghan Markle, and the King and Queen.

Sources close to Harry have said that he is planning to extend an olive branch to William and Kate in an attempt to repair the damaged relationship. “He misses his brother and sister-in-law, and wants his father to see his sons at peace,” the insider told Heat World. “On top of that, Diana’s anniversary is coming up there are all these emotional reasons for wanting to find a way forward.”

However, many royal experts have said that Prince William might not be so forgiving towards his younger brother.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier recently told the Daily Mail: “William and Harry put aside their differences for the unveiling of the statue of their mother, Princess Diana [five years ago], but things are much worse now.”

“I think William would find it very hard to meet Harry, even to honour Diana’s memory.”

Prince Harry is reportedly planning to make more frequent UK visits, as insiders revealed he intends to fly back home “every few months”.

“The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus. He’ll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months,” a source close to the Duke recently said.

“The way the wind is blowing, he’s going to want to be here more and more. He wants more of a foothold here, more trips back, less courtroom drama. And he always loves seeing his family.”

Harry is expected back on British soil as early as September for a week-long stay focusing primarily on his charity commitments.

However, the test will be whether the relationship between brothers can be repaired. Recently, Prince William was furious over Meghan Markle‘s Instagram post, which featured a snap of Althorp Estate, Princess Diana’s family home and final resting place.
